23 Goals for My 23rd Year

Each year for my birthday I make as many goals for as many years old I will be so this year was 23. It definitely becomes a challenge trying to come up with so many goals to accomplish in one year but has been fun so far!!

1. Attend Beachbody Coach Summit
-It looked like soooo much fun this last year so I would love, love, love to go. You learn so much and meet so many people that it is something I definitely don't want to miss!!

2. Meet my coach
-My Beachbody coach introduced me to this amazing company and I would love to meet her. She has been a great guide and inspiration, motivating me to keep pushing on and dream big.

3. Reach my goal weight
-I have struggled with my weight for quite a few years now and I would love it if I finally hit my goal weight and maintained it.

4. Marry my best friend
-Will be done in a little over 2 months!! Getting married September 21!!

5. Get a full time job
-This one is unexpectedly already done!! I got a full time job at Girls Scouts and worked my first week last week!!

6. Find our own place
- My fiance and I rent a house right now and we are way way WAY past having roommates so we would really like to find a house to buy. This one will be challenging only because we both want a house in the country that isn't a run down shack like the ones currently for sale.

7. Coach at least 50 people
- My fiance and I are both Beachbody coaches and I would love it if together we were able to coach and help 50 people with their health and fitness goals.

8. Expand Kringstad Kitchen
- I started a small sweets shop that I am hoping to get going a little bit more!!

9. Run/walk 1,000 miles.
- Pretty easy to understand. Over the next year I hope to run/walk/jog 1,000 miles weather it be on a treadmill or outside!

10. Run in my 1st 5k
- Not a runner at all!! This will definitely be a challenge for me

11. No more credit card debt
- I don't use them anymore and I haven't for awhile but I am still trying to pay off my adventures as an 18 year old!

12. Learn a balance between partying and staying on track with my health/fitness goals
- Currently when I drink, I DRINK. I drink waaaaay too much and then indulge in too many drunken snacks. After that I'm out for the count for at least a day trying to recover!! I would love it if I could learn to limit the alcohol and say no to the snacks so the next day I can still function like a normal human.

13. Volunteer at least 3 times a month
- I have really been slacking on my volunteer work lately so I need to get my butt back out there. My favorite place to volunteer is the Humane Society so I can play with all the cute puppies!!

14. Make stronger friendships with my REAL friends.
- People have been letting me down a lot lately and it is really showing me who my true friends are. I need to stop wasting time with the people who aren't true friends and focus on those who are.

15. Be a TurboFire grad
- Complete and finish the entire TurboFire progam

16. Be a Hip Hop Abs grad
- Complete and finish the entire Hip Hop Abs progam

17. Be a Focus T25 grad
- Complete and finish the entire Focus T25 program

18. Read at least one leisure book every two months
- I love reading but haven't really been making time for it in the last few years so I would love it if I could at least read one every other month

19. Read at least one personal development book a month
- Personal development is so very important. I would love to read at least one book a month to help develop myself into a better person

20. Go on a real date with my fiance once a month
- We get to go food a lot and go to a movie in sweat pants. I want to be able to get dressed up and go to a restaurant and movie like a real date every month.

21. Take time for myself
- With working, being a fulltime student, planning a wedding, Kringstad Kitchen, and beachbody I don't take a lot of time for myself. It definitely has an effect and makes me a lot more stressed. I need to take time for myself so I can chill out and relax

22. Be happy!!

23. Have fun!!

Beachbody Coaching

So I wanted to make a post about my new adventure of being a beachbody coach.
I have always wanted to find a way to help people lose weight and reach their fitness goals. I haven't always been in the best shape either so I knew the opportunity to help others would motivate me to accomplish my fitness goals as well.
I always figured I would do something like Biggest Loser but when the opportunity to coach people and give them advice, motivation, and more through Beachbody came along I couldn't turn it down.
Through my beachbody challenges people get close attention from me and the rest of a support group. I can't wait to get started on my first challenge group on April 22nd!! I've already been talking to a couple people about potentially joining and their goals!! Just the thought of being able to help people reach their goals or help them on their way makes me so excited!!
I'm also offering a separate support and motivation group for people who aren't a part of the challenge group!! This will also offer people my free coaching, motivation and more but in a larger atmosphere.
It's so exciting for me to think that I might be able to make a difference to people's lives and also help reduce obesity in America!!

This weekend was a little rocky. It was my fiance's birthday party so there was alcohol and some not so healthy goodies but overall I think I did pretty good!! Proud of some of the choices I have been making!! I am also finding different ways to get my Shakeology in. I can not tell you how much better I feel when I have my Shakeology every day!! I have so much energy and I am full for sooooo much longer then if I were to eat  anything else!!

That's all I have time for today. The end of the semester is near so the last minute projects and what not are piling on!! Hope everyone has a fabulous week!! :)

New & Old

Well if any of you follow me on instagram you know I had a little bit of a setback this weekend. However, I have learned from my mistakes and moved forward. I am back on track and feeling more motivated. I'm trying to work on some recipes for things like protein pancakes and homemade protein bars which I will share with all of you lovely folks!!
Monday and Tuesday I was sick as could be and stuck in bed with no appetite and unable to workout. :(  It did however give me some time to think about what I wanted to try to do for my upcoming workouts!! That being said I have decided to start up insanity again. I didn't have great results the first time around but I have HIGH hopes for this time!! I'm also going to continue to work on my lifting routine as well, gotta look good in my awesome wedding dress in September ;)
I also tried an experiment on Monday when I posted a pic on instagram that said 1 like = 5 situps. It got amazing results and I ended up doing 240 situps today when I felt better!! So I've decided I'm going to make some of my own like that for different workouts and let my followers determine part of my workout each day!!

I am also very excited to say that as of yesterday I am officially an Independent Beachbody Coach!! I'm really excited about this opportunity mostly because I can't wait to help people get healthy and lose weight!! I've always wanted to find a way to help people get in shape and lose weight and this opportunity came to me and I couldn't pass it down. I can't wait to start making a difference in helping to solve the obesity epidemic happening in this country!! More info to be posted soon. I will be doing challenges and free coaching of course!! When I figure more info out I will post it right away!! :)

Getting it Together

Yes when I say getting it together I mean it not only in my life of eating clean and working out but also with this blog I am trying to keep up with. As promised I am including a little workout I put together that shouldn't take longer then 15-20 minutes. It doesn't require any equipment other than your own body so you can do it anywhere!!

One of my favorite sites as I have been learning to eat clean definitely has to be http://www.thegraciouspantry.com/
This website is filled with clean eating recipes and tips on learning how to eat clean. The two I have tried so far are the french toast strips and the meatloaf, both which you may have seen me post on my instagram!

This is the 2nd time I have made the french toast strips and I LOVE them. Although I am a breakfast fanatic and could eat breakfast foods every single day for every meal :)

When I made the meatloaf I only did 1/3 of the recipe. I only had 1 pound of ground turkey and a very small crockpot so the larger version wasn't going to happen. I still let it cook in the crockpot for the same amount of time as the big one and it turned out great!! I had a little bit of BBQ sauce on the side for dipping :)

Have a great weekend and don't forget to workout!! :)

Spring Break

Although I did not end up going anywhere for Spring Break I did end up getting a little bit off track. Having a snow day yesterday also made my "spring break" a little longer.

Today I am starting off strong with a better eating plan, meals prepped, and feeling confident I will make the right decisions. My fiance is not trying to lose weight or eat clean so it can be challenging at times to resist eating the foods that he eats instead.

This picture is great motivation for me as I try to turn my setback into a comeback. I have to keep my eye on the prize (aka looking fantastic in my wedding dress in about 6 months!!)

Never put yourself down after a setback. At least it means that you are trying!! Just jump back up on the horse and get going again because you are stronger than you were before!!

*Normally I wouldn't do this but I did just open an etsy.com shop selling some things so check it out!!

The end of Insanity & Beginning of weight lifting

This week is my last week of the insanity program. It has been a great experience and I'm pretty sure I'm going to just start it over from day one next week. Although I didn't have great results this time around(from eating so poorly) I feel like round two will be much better!!

Last week I started a weight lifting program for the first time. It entails 3 days of training, 2 days of cardio, and 2 active rest days.
Here is a link to the program:

After leg day last week I was so sore I could barely walk for a couple days so I'm a little behind but plan on getting caught up this week!!

Weekend was a little off course for the food plan but I got myself back in gear today. I've decided that writing down my entire schedule for the day with a food plan really helps

First Post & A Little About Me!!

Welcome!!!

As my first post I thought I would start by sharing a little about myself. My name is Nicole Robertson and I'm a 22 year old from North Dakota. When I was in high school I was never fat. It wasn't till I got to college that I started to gain weight. My first semester as a freshman I put on about 21 pounds. However, my second semester I lost all the weight and then some and was by far in the best shape of my life. After that things kind of went downhill with my weight and I kind of blew up. Ever since then I have been in a constant battle of losing and gaining and losing and gaining with it always ending up with more gaining in the end.

Needless to say I'm sick of playing the up and down game. I have tried every diet out there: 3 day military diet, 17 day diet, Medifast, Weight Watchers and more. Recently I have become interested in this whole concept of clean eating. It will definitely be a challenge as I am a fast food/out to eat addict. Nothing sounds as good for dinner as mozzarella sticks!! But people seem to be having the most amazing results when they change their lifestyle to clean eating and lifting weights.

So this will be my journey. The ups and downs of trying to eat clean and work my ass off in the gym. As I try to lose the little over 50 pounds I have put on since my freshman year of college.
